SHELBYVILLE, IL. —
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Compton of rural Lakewood will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on January 17.
Frank, the son of the late Clyde and Clara Compton, was married to Juanita Sain, daughter of the late Firth and Sue Sain, on January 17, 1948, in Shelbyville by the late Rev. Blankenship.
Frank is retired from farming and Caterpillar of Decatur. He is a WWII veteran of the Navy. Juanita is a homemaker.
They are the parents of Rev. Tom (Chris) Compton of Assumption; David (June) Compton of Tower Hill; Charles (Kathy) Compton of Shelbyville; and Steve (Carol) Compton of Shelbyville.
They have 11 grandchildren: Kurt (Tiffany) Compton of Witt; Karl (Carly) Compton of Findlay; Kendra Compton and fiance Chris Finley of Ramsey; Kim (Kent) Fuiten of Sherman; Kenny (Emily) Compton of Tower Hill; Karen Compton of Tower Hill; Brad (Connie) Compton of Matoon; Brett (Kristina) Compton of Mattoon; Blake Compton of Shelbyville; Neil Compton of Shelbyville; and Meredith Compton of Shelbyville.
They have 14 great grandchildren: Vanessa Compton, Sierra Compton, Alexa Compton, Wyatt Daniels, Lilly Compton, Melody compton, Gabriel Finley. Matt (Melissa) Fuiten, Derek Wicker, Audrey Fuiten, Clayton Compton, Kaylyn Compton, Leah Compton, and Lucas Compton. They also have 1 great great grandson Luke Fuiten.
