Lashes to Celebrate 50th Anniversary

Arlen and Evelyn Lash will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 5, 2009.

They were married in the Christian Church in Shelbyville, Illinois by Rev. Litteral.

Mrs. Lash is from Shelbyville and Mr. Lash was a resident of Findlay, Illinois. They celebrated their anniversary by vacationing at Fort Meyers Beach, Florida recently with their four children and their families. They have two daughters, Lauri and husband, Brad Clark, children Mason and Maddie of Mt. Zion, Illinois; Kari and husband, Ken Boyd, children Holden and Collin of Warrensburg, Illinois. Their two sons are Todd Lash and wife, Chandra, children Emma, Tyson, and Bode of Chicago, Illinois and Erin Lash and wife Lisa, their daughter Isabelle Rio of St. Peters, Missouri.

Mr. Lash is the son of the late Hal and Irene Lash of Findlay. Mrs. Lash is the daughter of the late Kenneth Morrison and stepdaughter of the late Acel Ripley. Her mother, Frances Ripley lives in Shelbyville.

Mr. Lash is retired from the Internal Revenue Service where he served as an IRS agent. Mrs. Lash is retired from Mt. Vernon District 80 Schools where she was a primary teacher.
