Danny Barker and Jennifer Steiner, both of Shelbyville, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Victor and Julie Steiner of Berne, Indiana. She is the granddaughter of Victor and the late Margaret Steiner of Berne, Indiana, and Roger and Sandra Holler of Muncie, Indiana. She is a 2006 graduate of Adams Central High School, a 2008 graduate of Lake Land College with an Associate in Applied Science - Agriculture Business and Supply, and a 2010 graduate of Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Systems with Specialization in Agriculture Education, and a 2011 graduate of University of Illinois-Champaign Urbana with a Master of Science in Agriculture Education. She is employed by Shelby County Farm Bureau as the agriculture literacy educator.
The groom-to-be is the son of Beth and the late Chris Barker of Shelbyville. He is the grandson of Charlie and Carolyn Barker of Shelbyville, and Joe and Bernie Elson of Windsor. He is a 2005 graduate of Shelbyville High School, a 2007 graduate of Lake Land College with an Associates in Applied Science - Agriculture Production and Management, and a 2009 graduate of Southern Illinois University - Carbondale with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Systems Technology and minor in Agribusiness Economics. He is a self-employed farmer and an auctioneer with Gordon Price Auction Service.
A November 19, 2011, wedding is planned at Cornerstone Community Fellowship, Shelbyville.
