SHELBYVILLE, IL. —
Loraine and Kipling Adams of Hayden Lake, Idaho, announce the marriage of their daughter Whitney to Corporal Joseph P. McBride on July 7, 2012.
McBride is the son of Elaine (Storm) McBride and Tom McBride of Bridgwater, MA, and grandson of Dolores Storm and the late F. L. “Lud” Storm of Shelbyville.
The bride is a 3rd Class Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. The groom is in the U.S. Marine Corps.
The wedding was held in the flower garden of the bride’s parents in Hayden Lake, Idaho.
The couple met at the Language Defense School in Monterey, CA, a two-year intensive training school in languages for U.S. military.
They are currently stationed at Ft. Gordon, GA, where they are classified as linguist specialists. They reside in Martinez, GA, where they will complete the remainder of their five-year enlistment respectively.
