Vandenbergh, Fikan Wed June 30

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Rachel Vandenbergh and Wade Fikan were united in marriage during a double ring ceremony on Saturday, June 30, 2012, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Pana.

The couple’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Vandenbergh Jr., of Pana and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Fikan of Rosamond. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Merle Cameron, Mr. and Mrs. James Vandenbergh Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Gary Taylor of Pana and Marikay Fikan of Rosamond and the late Kenneth Fikan.

The 1:30 p.m. ceremony was officiated by Father Rodney Shwartz. Scripture readings were given by Scott Vandenbergh, uncle of the bride. Musicians were Jessica Cervi and Jane McMillen.

Matron of Honor was Whitney Kinney of Pana, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Audrey Cox of Gays and Kristi Droste of Nashville, friends of the bride, Laura Clucas and Cristyn Vandenbergh of Pana, cousins of the bride and Alyvia Fikan of Rosamond, sister of the groom.

Best men were Matt Lewis of Pana and Trent Wilhour of Rosamond, friends of the groom. Groomsmen were Joseph Clavin of Rosamond and Clink Hawks of Pana, friends of the groom, and Ryan and Aaron Vandenbergh of Pana, brothers of the bride.

Flower girl was Jadyn Kiser, daughter of Brooke Klein and Greg Kiser of Pana, and ring bearer was Dallas Lewis, son of Whitney Kinney and Matt Lewis of Pana. Ushers were Luke and Dylan Taylor of Pana, cousins of the groom.

Attending the guest book was Brianna Wolf of Raymond, cousin of the groom. Distributing programs was Kayla Spencer of Gillespie, friend of the couple.

A 4 p.m. dinner and dance reception for 300 guests was held at the Pana Eagles Club. Assisting with serving was Mary Clucas, aunt of the bride, Michelle Christer, cousin of the bride and Brooke Klein, friend of the couple.

The couple is residing in rural Pana and planning a winter honeymoon to the U.S. Virgin Islands.
