First Baptist Church to host 4th Annual Community Block Party

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — On September 19 at 10:35a.m. the First Baptist Church of Shelbyville will be hosting their 4th annual Block Party.

As in past years they will meet on the front lawn of the church, under the tent, where activities will begin with a concert by “The Chosen Ones”.  The Chosen Ones feature two generations of smooth family harmony, blending both traditional and progressive Southern Gospel Music. Their unique approach to Gospel Music will appeal to a diverse audience.

They have sung throughout the United States, performing over 160 personal appearances annually as well as appearing on Gospel Music Television.

After the concert the grounds will be open for the kids to play a variety of games with a chance to win some great prizes.  There will be an inflatable to play in, balloon animals made by a clown and the Shelbyville Fire Department will be on hand with their ladder truck and smoke house.  The adults and teens will enjoy the mini car show and everyone will enjoy the lunch that will be served after the concert.  Best of all, everything is free.  This will be a fun day for your family and everyone in the community is invited.

Make plans to attend this exciting event and experience The Chosen Ones and this great day with your family.  The church is located across from the High School at 1000 W.N. 6th Street.  For further information you can call the church at 774-4582 or visit their web site at www.fbcshelbyville.org
