Windsor Volleyball Wins, Loses Against Beecher City
Windsor 7th grade continued to notch win after win, beating Beecher City, 25-21, 25-22, while the Trojan 8th grade dropped a heart-breaking marathon, 24-26, 25-20, 23-25.
Windsor 7th (6-1, 4-0 NTC) was challenged in both games by BC, but still prevailed in each one. Paige Woolard was the chief net threat for Windsor, swinging for five kills. Taylor Higgins led the Winsdor 18-ace total with four aces. Four other Trojans, Woolard, Claire Pfeiffer, Olivia Hortenstine, Bayleigh Tabor served three aces, and Allie Bridges served two aces. Tabor was also the top defender, recording six digs.

The Trojan 8th suffered more hard luck in an inconsistent star to the season. They challenged BC, but with the game on the line BC was a bit better, in game 1 and in the decisive game 3. After losing a tough game 1 by just two points in OT, 24-26, the Trojans bounced back and won by five points in game two. The rubber game came down to the wire as well and once again Windsor couldn't finish and lost by two. In the heart-breaking Windsor marathon loss, the three games were decided by just nine points and Windsor actually outscored BC, 72 to 71.
Jessica Dodd Katie Hostetter, Sarah Hostetter, and Olivia Williamson were standouts for the Trojan 8th. Dodd served up a team-high eight aces and had one kill. Hostetter was the chief net threat with seven kills, and had one ace. Sarah Hostetter led on defense, getting down for eight digs. Olivia Williamson dished out a team-high six assists.
Windsor served up 16 aces and swung for 14 kills in an outstanding, but losing effort.
