There were six rounds in the Shelbyville Rams' chamber at the Robinson 1A Wrestling Regional on Friday and four the the bullets hit the the bulls-eye on the first day. Shelby will reload the other two rounds and start firing again on Saturday.
Buddy Holmes, the Cumberland Regional champion at 103 pounds, pinned his opponent on Friday in the third period (5:03) to advance to the sectional semifinal.
Alex Jones, the Cumberland Regional champion at 130 pounds, pinned his opponent in the third period, as well (5:34), and advances to the sectional semifinal.
Dalton Brown, the Cumberland Regional champion at 135 pounds, pinned his prey in the second period (3;17), and advanced to the sectional semi.
Jeff Gill, the Cumberland Regional champion at 160 pounds, pinned his opponent in the third period (5:33) and will advance to the semifinal round of sectional.
James Gill, the third place finisher at the Cumberland Regional at 215 pounds lost his first match by pin in the third period (4:40), bt he has a chance to wrestleback on Saturday morning and continue to the 3rd place match.
Luke Hatfield, the 3rd place finisher at the Cumberland Regional, was also pinned in his first match in the first period. He also has a chance to regroup and wrestleback as far as the 3rd place match on Saturday.
