On May 20 at 4:24 p.m. Barbara M. Daugherty, 33, of Vandalia was driving a 2007 Dodge southbound on 200 E at 300N in Oconee Township when she attemped to pass a 1994 Plymouth which was turning left, striking it. The Plymouth was driven by Charles H. Temmen, 84, of Oconee. There were no injuries and the vehicles sustained major damage. Daugherty was cited for improper passing at an intersection.
On May 20 at 12:30 p.m. after an incident at 194 Champlain in Tower Hill, Bradley J. Kay, 18, of Tower Hill, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
On May 21 at 7:50 p.m. after an altercation with Sara A. Edwards, 25, of Herrick at 107 N. Myer in Herrick, Phillip L. Edwards, 28, of Herrick was arrested for domestic battery.
Rachael M. Tichenor, 28, of Mattoon, reported that sometime between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. on May 23 someone stole $440 to $540 in cash from her vehicle while it was parked at RR 1 Box 326, Neoga.
On May 23 at 11:36 p.m. after a traffic stop at 1350N at 2050E in Windsor Township, Paul L. Kruse, 43, of Sullivan, was arrested for DUI. Megan E. Kruse, 26, and Paul L. Kruse, Jr., 22. both of Sullivan, were cited for illegal transportation of alcohol.
On May 23 at 1:38 a.m., after a traffic stop 1/4 mile north of 1250N on 1950E in Shelbyvile Township, Dwayne E. Watrous, 45, of Shelbyville was arrested for DUI, possession of drug paraphenalia, driving while license revoked, illegal transportation of alcohol, improper operation of a golf cart on the roadway, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle
On May 24 at 11:40 p.m. after an altercation with a 16-year-old from Cowden, Winona L. Writh of Cowden was arrested for domestic battery and resisting arrest.
