Windsor High School competitive cheerleading, which placed third at sectional to advance to state, will be performing their routine at state today at approximately 11:50. The competition is available on line at http://ihsa..tv.
"How 'bout that team from Windsor" was the announcement for the Windsor High School Cheerleaders who advanced to State on Saturday, January 30 by placing 3rd at the IHSA Highland Small Teams sectional. There were 16 teams in the Sectional with the top 5 teams advancing to State. Other teams advancing were 5th place Effingham St. Anthony, 4th place Bunker Hill, 2nd place Paris and 1st place South Fork Kincaid. The State competition will be held Friday, February 5 in Bloomington at the US Cellular Coliseum. The top 10 teams on Friday will advance to the State Finals on Saturday.
Members of the team are: Amanda Tucker, Alexis Schubert, Erin Risley, Danielle Bell, Charley Bailey, Jennifer Bullock, Barbara Blackburn, Sarah Curtis, Tierra Becker, Taylor Williamson, Corri Boehm, and Megan Powers. They are coached by Coach Beth Williamson and Kim Bullock, assistant coach.
