Stew-Stras fresh-soph basketball took on St. Anthony at the Neoga tournament on Thursday and were shown the door early in a 61-16 blow out.
St. Anthony had just an 11-6 lead after one, but then St A. dawged the Comets with a 17-0 run to lead by 22 at the break, 28-6. The third period was another rout the Bulldogs way, 20-2, putting the Comets behind by 40 points heading towards their final destination. It was puppies in the fourth for the Bulldogs, but they still out-scored Stew-Stras by five to win by 45.
Just three Comets scored in the game, compared to 11 Bulldogs. Justin Fulk led the Comets with 10 points, while Dust led St. Anthony with 14, followed by Having with 11.
Stew-Stras fresh-soph play next on Thursday, February 11 at Newton.
