Pana Lady Panthers celebrated Senior Night with a huge blowout of visiting EAWR, 70-28.
Coach Boudouris picked up his 100th win as the head coach of the Lady Panthers, joining Dave Curry as only two girls coaches to win 100 basketball games at Pana in 31 years of Lady Panther Basketball.
“This was a nice win for us on Senior Night,” Coach Boudouris said. “We shot the ball very well and our pressure really wore them down throughout the course of this game. We will fine tune some things and continue to play well next week into the regional.
All the girls got to play in the game and 13-of-the 15 players scored. Grace Holthaus and Nadine Vaughn both had a career-high 11 points to lead the Panthers in scoring in the game. Holthaus hit two 3’s in the second quarter as part of a 24-4 Pana run. Vaughn led Pana with eight rebounds. Jessica Etter and Charley Lett led the team with five assists each and Jessica Etter led the team with six steals.
Pana only committed eight turnovers in the game with a 2:1 Assist to turnover ratio. Pana picked EAWR for 22 steals.
Pana finished the regular season 17-10 and will play in Pana Regional semifinals next Wednesday vs. St. Anthony/Shelbyville winner.
