Dive Team Rescues Two Motorists in Twenty-four Hours

Twice in Twenty-four hours the Shelby County Dive has been called out to rescue stranded motorists who made the foolish decision to drive through standing water.

Dive Team Commander Scott Enkoff advises motorists to please pay attention to the warning, DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH STANDING WATER.

Shown here Dive Team members Mark Shanks and Austin Pritchard bring in stranded motorist Larry Olsen and his dog Maggie. Olsen attempted to drive through standing water. This rescue happened in rural Shelby County southwest of Shelbyville on Saturday, October 31 at around noon. The other rescue took place on County Line Road between Herrick and Ramsey at 11:40 a.m. also on Saturday morning.
