Shelby County Board Chairman Paul Brooks has confirmed a deal is close to being realized for the Eagle Creek Resort.
“I have been told by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) that a deal is being finalized for the purchase of Eagle Creek,” said Brooks.
Brooks said a Decatur man Dennis Ballenger is the lead person in this deal.
When contacted Ballenger confirmed that he represents BMDD Resorts Corporation LLC out of Decatur.
“We are excited about the opportunities presented with the purchase of Eagle Creek Resort,” said Ballenger. “We are looking forward to getting Eagle Creek Resort back in shape and even better than before.”
