Mid-America Prep fresh-soph used an 18-8 second period run to stop Stew-Stras, 57-52.
Mid-Americ's top scorer, Miller, lit up the Comets for 27 points, including two treys and five free throws en route to the win. Wehrle, Miller's teammate was the game's second top scorer with19 points, including nine free throws. Justin Fulk led Stew-Stras with 14 point and Dylan Arnold followed in double figures with ten.
Mid-America had a huge advantage at the line, making 17 free throws to Stew-Stras' nine, an 8-point difference in a 5-point win.
The Comets had a 4-point lead after one, but Mid-A then broke loose for that 18-8 run to lead by six at the break, 28-22. The third was a draw and Mid-A successfully defended their lead down the stretch for the 5-point win.
