CHBC girls basketball (22-4, 4-2 NTC) had a trio of players named to the NTC all-conference teams recently.
Senior Hillary Shelton was named to the 1st team all-conference, freshman Micah Jones was named to the 2nd team all-conference, and sophomore Bailey Doty was named to as an Honorable mention.
Hillary Shelton is the senior leader on the floor for the Hornets, who has given up some of her scoring role to this season to the young guns. Micah Jones is the fab freshman who is averaging a double-double, 11.6 points, 10 rebounds per game, and recently had a season-high 24 points to finish the regular season, followed by a game-high 19 points in the regional semifinal win. Bailey Doty is averaging 10.5 points a game but has taken over some games this year with 20+ point efforts. She has over 25 3-pointers this season. She had four in the regional semifinal win, scoring 18 points in all.
Teutopolis (25-2, 6-0) won the conference title as a team and CHBC was tied for second with Neoga at 4-2, even though CHBC beat Neoga head-to-head twice.
