10 Arrested on Meth Charges

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — SHELBY COUNTY, IL– On February 9, 2012, police officers from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Shelbyville Police Department, Illinois State Police Zone 5 Investigations and Illinois State Police Special Weapons and Tactics Team conducted a warrant sweep.  The purpose of the detail was to arrest multiple persons wanted on warrants for methamphetamine-related charges.  These charges stem from a nine month long investigation into methamphetamine production in the Shelby County area conducted by all agencies in cooperation with the Shelby County State’s Attorney’s Office and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

A total of 10 subjects were arrested during the detail.  All defendants were transported to the Shelby County jail for processing.

  • Kimberly N. Endsley, age 25, of Shelbyville, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, class 2 felony.  She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
  • Kristin E. Hubbard, age 21, of Shelbyville, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, class 2 felony.  She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
  • Leiff A. Leonberger, age 34, of Shelbyville, was arrested on a warrant for Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, 15 or more grams but less than 30 grams, class X felony.  He is being held on $200,000 bond.
  • Rachel A. Matthews, age 28, of Pana, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, class 2 felony.  She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
  • Jamie L. McDonald, age 36, of Lakewood, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, class 2 felony.  She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
  • Justin D. O’Dell, age 31, of Shelbyville, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, class 2 felony.  He is being held on $50,000 bond.
  • Katherine L. O’Dell, age 27, of Lakewood, was arrested on a warrant for Unlawful Use of Property to Manufacture Methamphetamine, class 2 felony.  She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
  • Brooke P. Peifer, age 33, of Shelbyville, was arrested on a warrant for Unlawful Manufacture of Methamphetamine, less than 15 grams, class 2 felony.  She is being held on a $200,000 bond.
  • Jodee A. Roberts, age 26, of Shelbyville, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, class 2 felony.  She is being held on a $50,000 bond.
  • Stacy J. Schultz, age 39, of Shelbyville, was arrested on a warrant for Possession of Methamphetamine Precursors, class 2 felony.  He is being held on a $50,000 bond.

“Law enforcement in Shelby County teamed together to tackle a recurring methamphetamine problem in central Illinois.  The effort put forth by all officers assigned to this multi-agency investigation was incredible.  Today’s round-up speaks volumes of the dedication spent targeting this issue and preserving the safety of our citizens,” said ISP Lieutenant Tad Williams, Zone 5 Commander.

THE PUBLIC IS REMINDED THAT CRIMINAL DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL THE GOVERNMENT IS ABLE TO PROVE ITS CHARGES IN COURT BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT.
