Larry M. Askins

Lakewood

Larry M. Askins 54 of Lakewood IL passed away at 5:00 PM Monday June 29, 2009 at his home.

He was born Nov. 15, 1954 in Charleston, IL. and was the son of James and Pauline Baker Askins.

Larry loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed hunting. Formerly he was an active member of the Order of the Eagles in Shelbyville. He was an avid wrestling fan.

He was a graduate of Roosevelt Military Academy and attended Eastern Illinois University at Charleston, IL

He is survived by many friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, James and Pauline, and a brother Donald Floyd Askins.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 8, 2009 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials can be made to the Shelby County Humane Society. Arrangements are by Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Shelbyville.
