Mildred L. Beals, 84, of Moweaqua, died Thursday, September 13, 2012 (7:35 am) in her home.

Services will be 1:00 pm, Monday, September 17, 2012, in Seitz Funeral Home, Moweaqua with Pastor David Beerbower officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until service time on Monday also in the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Assumption, Illinois. Memorials may be made to The Humane Society.

Mildred was born on August 23, 1928, in Farina, IL, the daughter of William and Lucille (Baker) Banning. She married Wayne Beals December 26, 1944.  He preceded her in death on February 4, 2006.

Mildred worked for Hi-Flier and Schrock Cabinet Factory. She loved spending time in her garden and generously gave to the Wounded Warriors, Feed the Children, Easter Seals and The Native American Heritage Association.

Surviving her are her sons Ricky W. and wife Judy Beals of Ohio, David Beals of Moweaqua; daughters Bernette Terneus of Goodman, Mo, Cheryl and husband Wayne Watts of Decatur, Il, Brenda and husband Lynn Behrend of Dacula, GA, Cindy Watts of Decatur, Il, Connie Beals of Morris, IL, Carla Shaw of Decatur, IL, Beth and husband Dale Jr. Knapp of Pana, Il; longtime companion Lawrence Galvin; nineteen grandchildren and many great and great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are her husband, parents, six brothers and two sisters.
