Christopher Dale Fitzgerald, 59, of Mattoon, IL, passed away at 10:08 PM Monday Oct. 1, 2012 in Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday Oct. 6, 2012 in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time of the graveside service at the cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the Shelby County Honor Guard.
Christopher was born Oct. 17, 1952 in Ft. Wayne, IN the son of Roger and Norma Marilyn Bryan Fitzgerald.
Christopher served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved to fish, play basketball and bowl.
Surviving are children: Kristel Leah Kulinski and husband Stephen of Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada, Aaron Dale Fitzgerald of Pana, IL and Andrew David Fitzgerald and wife Kasey of Tower Hill, IL; fourteen grandchildren; one great grandson; sisters Lynelyn Fitzgerald of Brighton, CO and Patricia Fitzgerald of Tower Hill, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Cheryl Fitzgerald and brother Michael Fitzgerald.
