Richard L. Bodden, 66, of Decatur, IL passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012. Memorial services will be Saturday, November 17, 2012 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior. Both will be at Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Assumption, IL.
Richard was born May 20, 1946, the son of Maurice L. and Dorothy (Newlin) Bodden. He married Vicki A. Bilyeu on August 14, 1971. She preceded him in death.
He was a member of New Beginnings Church of God, Decatur, IL.
Richard was the owner of Bodden Insurance Agency in Assumption where he sold insurance for the last 24 years.
Surviving are his son Travis (Jill) Bodden of Decatur; daughters Tami (Brandon) Simmons of Moweaqua and Amber Bodden of Decatur; grandchildren Haley and Brooks Bodden, and Paige and Brayden Simmons; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Church of God, Assumption; New Beginnings Church of God, Decatur; or American Cancer Society.
