Ona Mae Griffin, 88, of Oreana, IL passed away at 11:28 p.m. on Thursday (July 30, 2009) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday (August 3, 2009) at Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home, Mt. Zion. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Findlay Township Cemetery. Mrs. Griffin was born on November 7, 1920 in New Berlin, IL, the daughter of Joseph Wesley and Martha Viola Dalton Huff. She was a sales clerk for Kmart for twenty-two years, retiring in 1986. Ona was a member of Argenta United Methodist Church, The Order of the Eastern Star and the Oreana Senior Citizens Club. She married Robert Ansil Griffin in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Surviving are her children: Bonnie Madison of Lodi, WI, Tom (Nancy) Griffin of Wheeler, IL, Jim (Sherry) Griffin of Clinton, IL and Barbara (David) Harp of Decatur, IL; brother: Jesse “Pete” Huff of Florida formerly of Decatur, IL; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother: John Huff and two sisters: Nora Stutches and Ora Michelich
