SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Dorthy (Dot) Woodard

Scottsdale, AZ

Dorthy (Dot) Woodard, 77, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away Feb 7, at Sherman Home, Hospice of the Valley.  She was the daughter of Clyde and Bessie Lane and was born Jan 5, 1936 in Neoga, IL.  She married Phil Woodard of Shelbyville, IL, on May 25, 1953.  They had 4 children, Cathy Mike, Sandy and Carol and moved to Scottsdale in 1962.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Lane, mother Bessie Lane, husband Phil Woodard, brother Norman Lane, and daughter Carol McQueary.  She is survived by 3 children, Cathy Pullium (Mike) of Phoenix, Mike Woodard (Lori) of Scottsdale, Sandy Peters (Joe) of Conrad, MT, son-in-law Frank McQueary of Phoenix; nine grandchildren, Adam Woodard, Amber Barnes, Andrew Woodard, Lisa Peters, Joe Peters, Jennifer Hunter, Logan McQueary, Trenton McQuery, and Nicole McQueary-Zeitler and six great grandchildren, Haylee Hunter, Lanee Hunter, Gabriel Johnson, Ashton McQueary, Addisyn Barnes, and Theo Zeitler, sister Beatrice Swanson of Scottsdale, and sister-in-law Judy Parker (Dick) of Shelbyville, IL.

Services will be held at Green Acres Chapel of Light in Scottsdale on Monday, February 11, 2013 at 12:00 PM followed by interment at Green Acres Memorial Gardens.  Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.  Dot was a wonderful and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, who will be deeply missed.
