Windsor



Steven Allen Wallace, 46, of Windsor passed away at 6:40 a.m. Saturday (December 8, 2012) at Sarah Bush Lincoln Healthcare Center, Coles County.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor. Masonic rites, Prison Guard rites and funeral service will follow. Rick Sutton will officiate. The family requests casual attire. Cremation rites will follow. Memorials may be made to the family.

Steven was born September 4, 1966 in Mattoon the son of David and Sharon (Titus) Wallace. He married Penny Swart June 27, 2009 in Shelbyville.

Steve was a correctional officer for the Decatur prison. Drums were his other love. He played for the Night Moves and currently for Jr. and the Blues Rockers. He was a past member of the Windsor Fire Department and an EMT for the city of Windsor. He belonged to the Charleston Masonic Lodge. Steve was a wrestler known as George the Animal Jr.

Surviving are his wife, Penny; sons, Spencer Wallace of Grinnell, IA and  A.J. DeCaro of Windsor; daughters, Faith Wallace of Vandalia and Lauren Meeker of Urbana; grandsons, Mason, Landon and Maxwell Porter; parents, David and Sharon Wallace of Windsor; in-laws Bob and Anita Swart of Lerna; brother, Randy (Gina) Wallace of Windsor; brother-in-law, Rob Swart of Lerna; Special friends, Mitch and Jane Saret of Charleston; nephew, Nate Shupe; nieces Heather Wallace, Whitney Shupe and Carlee Wallace; great nephews, Trinity, Adalyn and Payton Shupe; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and one uncle.

Steve was a bright and shining person, a loving individual who loved his wife and children with all his soul. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
