William "Bill" Raymond Fulk Jr.

Beecher City

William “Bill” Raymond Fulk Jr., 62, went to be with his Lord God on August 28, 2010 at 2:15 p.m. at his home at Beecher City, IL surrounded by his family.

Bill was born June 28, 1948 in Olney, IL.  He gave his heart and life to God and was baptized in the Lord’s name on Feb. 11, 2010.

Bill served in the United States Army in Viet Nam.

He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 39 years LaWanna (Weisenberger) Fulk.  They met in Longview, IL on Oct. 31, 1971.  Bill and Lou married on July 20, 1973 in Villa Grove, IL.  They celebrated their 37th wedding anniversary on July 20, 2010.

Bill is also survived by his daughter Wendy Fulk and her partner Joshua Klitzing of Altamont, IL, son William Fulk III and his wife Leann of Altamont, IL, grandson Zachary Massie, granddaughter Katie Massie, grandson Lucas Edwards, granddaughter Jessie Edwards all of Altamont and granddaughter Kayla Neal of Pana, IL.

He is also survived by his father William Fulk Sr. of Beecher City; seven brothers Larry Fulk and wife Terrie of Mt. Vernon, IL, Andy Fulk of Charleston, IL Wesley Spurgeon and wife Mary of Cottage Hills, IL, Jim Fulk of Charleston, IL, Kenny Fulk and wife Terri of Camargo, IL, Kevin Kenney of  Mattoon, IL and DeWayne Purman and wife Keri  of Berthoud, CO; three sisters: Karen Maxwell and husband Frank of Villa Grove, IL, Rose Northway and husband David of Beecher City, IL and Teresa Balmer and husband Jim of Villa Grove, IL.  He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great-nephews, great nieces, an uncle, several aunts and cousins.

Bill was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ellen Greninger Fulk, sister Kathy Lynn Fulk Day, infant sister Dorothy, one infant nephew, two infant nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home in Beecher City.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery near Beecher City.  Military rites will be performed by the Shelby County Honor Guard.   Memorials can be made to the Family.  On line condolences may be directed to the family at www.lockartgreenfuneralhome.com
