Vida “Dude” Frailey, 93, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at 11:50am in Shelbyville Manor.

She was born April 19, 1913 in Herrick, Illinois, the daughter of Bert and Lula Leigh Halbrook. She was a meat cutter at Rudow’s and later at Johnston’s Market in Pana, Illinois. She lived her entire life in Pana. She loved flowers and crocheting.

She married Russell Frailey on October 19, 1932.

She is survived by children: daughter, Annabelle Umberger and husband Bill, Edwardsville, Illinois, daughter, Kay Miller and husband Buck, Pana, Illinois, son Larry Frailey and wife Carolyn, Pana, Illinois; 7 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren and 11 step great-great grandchildren; sister Irene Kueper, Decatur, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by: Parents; Husband on January, 11, 1988; Grandson, Rusty Umberger on April 19, 1993; Brothers, Howard Halbrook and Bill Halbrook; Sisters, Opal Wessel and Gertrude Hinton

Memorials: Pana Community Hospital Foundation or Donor’s Choice

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 25, 2006at 1:00pm until time of service in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, May 25, 2006 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00pm with Rev. Martin Eden officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery, Pana, Illinois.
