Ralph Peifer, 72, of Nokomis, died Sunday, August 5, 2012, in Hillsboro Area Hospital, Hillsboro.
He was born September 5, 1939, in Tower Hill, son of Harry W. and Beula M. (Murry) Peifer. He was a farmer/inventor.
Surviving are his wife Margaret; mother Beula Peifer of Nokomis; daughers Tammy (Curt) Braye of Nokomis and Sonni Joe (Jesse) Thornton of Morrisville, NC; sisters Margie (Frank) Osborne of Pana and Sharon (Roger) Lewis of Tuberose, FL; grandchildren Miranda Braye of Nokomis, Trevor (Kristen) Braye of Fort Hood, TX, Courtney Billings, Joshua Billings, Sara Thornton, and John Thornton, all of Morrisville, NC; great grandchildren Keaton Ault, Dagen Kroski of Fort Hood, TX; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, brothers Douglas Peifer, and Harry Peifer in infancy
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 8, at 12 p.m. at the Fillmore Grace Baptist Church in Fillmore. Rev. Myron Kirk will officiate. Visition will be Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to service time at the church. Burial will be in Peifer Family cemetery in rural Nokomis.
