Raymond Fulte

Peoria


Raymond Fulte, 79, of Peoria, formerly of Germantown Hills, died after a brief illness at 12:44 PM on Monday, July 27, 2009 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Born on January 24, 1930 in Stewardson, IL to Retta Belle Osborn, he married Wanda Irene Duez on August 5, 1951 in Mowequa, IL. He preceded her in death on July 15, 2006 in Peoria.

Surviving is his daughter, Ronda Kay (Josh) Fulte-Doran of Peoria, and his half-brother, Roy Shuff of Shelbyville, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Letha Fulte.

Raymond began working at Caterpillar, Inc. as a factory laborer, working 30 years before his retirement in 1978. He was very proud that he had been retired for as long as he had worked there.

He was a member of the UAW Retirees, and the Good Sam Club.

Raymond was of the Christian faith.

He enjoyed travelling, loved Country Music, and enjoyed finding treasures at estate sales.

Raymond will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and father-in-law.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. The Revs. Don Russell and Ralph Barnett will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Friday, July 31 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Washington, IL.

Memorials may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of North-Central Illinois.
