Barbara “Bobbi” Harbert, 75, of Pana, died Friday, October 23, 2009, in Heritage Manor, Pana.

Mrs. Harbert was born November 6, 1933, in Pana, the daughter of Victor and Lucille Pryce Dunn. She married Jim Harbert on November 25, 1951, in Oconee. She was a member of the Tower Hill Free Methodist Church, Democrat Women of Christian County, and one of the founding members of the Heritage Guild, Pana. She was a cook at Tower Hill School retiring after 28 years.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 26, in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Ron Newman officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband Jim; children: Vicki (Mike) Bender of Pana, and Penny (Michael) Sweeney of Lewisburg, KS; three grandchildren: Bryan Bender, Zack Robertson, and Josh Robertson; sisters Patricia Markham and Mary Helen Harper. She loved and raised Bryan’s dog. Toby.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Norman Dunn.

Memorials may be made to Pana Community Hospital Foundation for Wellness/Rehab Center, 101 E. Ninth Street, Pana, IL 62557.
