Venita Genevive “Peggy” Clagg, 88, of Olney, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Richland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov.ember 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney with Rev. Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery in Newton.
Mrs. Clagg was born June 20, 1921 in Jasper County, daughter of Payl and Elizabeth (Fritchl) Michl. She married Bernell Clagg on May 28, 1940. He died on May 3, 2004.
She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney.
Survivors include son, Raymond Clagg of Shelbyville; daughters Marla Jean (Rick) Pontnack of Freeport and Gaila Joan (Ed) Horack of O’Fallon, MO; sister Virginia Wheat of Newton; seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.
