Delores Bruns, 93, of Shelbyville, died at 6:30 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2009 in Shelbyville Manor.

 Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2009 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Kevin Ray officiating.  Visitation from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday.  Burial will be in Stewardson Cemetery, Stewardson, IL.  Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church of Shelbyville.

 Delores was born on December 9, 1916 in Stewardson, IL, the daughter of Frederick John and Emma Idella Baugher Bruns.  She graduated from Stewardson High School in the Class of 1934.  Delores served as Shelby County Clerk for 24 years, from 1954-1978.  She was a member of the First Christian Church of Shelbyville, Order of Eastern Star Chapter #69 of Shelbyville and White Shrine of Jerusalem of Mattoon, IL.

 She is survived by her sister, Marie Bruns of Shelbyville; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, William and Edward Bruns; three sisters, Bluebell Maxfield, Isabell Bruns and Iola Folkes; niece, Janet Maxfield; and nephew, Warren Edward Bruns.
