SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Theodore "Ted" Beals

Windsor

Theodore “Ted” Beals, 84, of Windsor died at 8:25 a.m. Thursday (February 21, 2013) at the Shelbyville Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home, Windsor with Rev. Richard Eident officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service time. Burial will be in the Windsor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.

He was born July 19, 1928 in Cumberland County the son of Earl and Grace (Thompson) Beals. He married Annabelle Carter March 20, 1953 in Windsor.

He was a member of the Windsor Christian Church and retired from Neal Cooper Grain Co. after 37 years. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal and Illini fan, and loved to fish and hunt.

Surviving are his wife, Annabelle; son Larry Beals (Debbie) of Windsor; daughter, Penny Beals Novota (Joe) of Windsor; grandchildren, Elizabeth Beals (Kristen) of Clinton, Jeff Novota (DeeDee) and Mindy Novota of Decatur and Chris Novota (Krystle) of Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Emma and Violet Novota, Ryder Lucas, Ethan Vogel and Whitney Novota; sisters, Dorothy Taylor, Betty Gross and Lorene Carter all of Mattoon; loyal companion, Dolly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jimmy Beals.
