Clara Sue Carlisle, 68, of Cowden, Illinois died Sunday, October, 21, at 7:59 AM in Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, Illinois. Funeral services will be, Wednesday, October, 24 at 2:30 PM at graveside in Myers Cemetery, Herrick, Illinois, with Pastor John Curtis, officiating.
Burial will be in Myers Cemetery, Herrick Township Shelby County, Illinois.
Clara Sue Carlisle was born Saturday, May 6, 1944, in rural Herrick, Illinois the daughter of Ogle and Gladys (maiden name Mitchell) Frailey. She grew up on the family farm east of Herrick, attended Shady Lane School Country School, Herrick Elementary and was a graduate with honors from the Herrick Community High School. Clara Sue Frailey was married November 13, 1962, to Edward Paul Carlisle in Woodstock, Illinois, she as a member of Herrick Church of Christ and a homemaker to her family.
She is survived by her husband Edward "Buck" Carlisle of Cowden; daughter Amanda (Chris) Elliott of Shelbyville; granddaughters Blair Riana and Bryleigh Renae Elliott at home; sisters Vickie Moll of Herrick and Linda (Dave) Christopher of Cowden; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Junior and Jane Carlisle of Herrick.
She was preceded in dealth by her parents, brothers Bob Frailey and Warren in infancy, and two sisters, Betty Masterson and Dorothy Poe.
The family is being served at Wallace-Carroll Funeral Home by Kennedy & Sons Funeral Directors PC.
