Lloyd Hicks, 91, of Pana, died August 27, at 6:35 a.m. at his residence in Oconee.

Private funeral services were held August 29 at Wallace-Carroll Funeral Home in Herrick. Burial was in Mound Oconee Cemetery, Oconee.

Mr. Hicks was born June 15, 1919, in Hurricane Township, Fayette County, son of William and Stella (Sanders) Hicks. He farmed his entire life in Fayette and Shelby counties.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Pana, daughter Beverly (Ray “Mike”) Beyers of Pana, three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Reva Rochkes, and brothers Norval, Paul and Kenneth Hicks.
