Shelbyville Tiny Tech students said “Yes, we can” and they did.
Both the 3-year-old and 4-year-old classes, 40 students in all, collected cans of food for the First United Methodist Church food pantry.
“We talked about how some people did not have enough food to eat and how we could help them,” said teacher Suzie Robison.
The classes collected cans of food for the first three weeks in January.
“We had a goal of 100 cans. We collected 290 cans,” said teacher Beth White. “We also did some math readiness skills with the cans such as counting, sorting, and graphing.”
