Bugs are Cool

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — Preschoolers got a chance to get up close look at a few bugs Tuesday morning in the Lake Volunteers Association Bugs and Butterflies program.

The children were read some books about bugs, looked for bugs in sand bottles, looked a bugs in a jar, and did some rubbings of different bugs. The lesson was presented by preschool teacher Beth White.

Two more sessions of the program are planned for June 21 on snakes and turtles and June 28 on frogs. The program is held at the Lake Shelbyville Visitors Center.
