Walmart assistant manager Rob Owens presents a $1000 donation to Angel of Love coordinators Vonda McConnell (left) and Diane Wheeler. Applications for the Angel of Love program were due November 1, but they will be accepted until Friday at the Shelby Christian Church. Tags will be printed next week and taken to businesses for people to pick up. Gifts need to be returned to the businesses by December 1. Delivery will be December 18 and 19. Wheeler added that volunteers will be needed to wrap the thousands of gifts for the program. Wrapping times will be announced.
