The Kuilka Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution presented its Good Citizenship awards to five county high school seniors Tuesday at its meeting.
Shelbyville Schools Superintendent Bob Verdun spoke on what makes a good citizen and challenged the students to exhibit the qualities of good citizenship to others.
“All of us in big and little ways can leave things better than we found it,” he said.
