Meet The Newspaper Class

SHELBYVILLE, IL. — The Newspaper class this year has 8 students: Ashli Blackwell, Rylee Elzer, Zach Karraker, Cory Powers, Dakota Pruemer, Jessica Reider, Amber Rodman, and Colton Wade, this year in addition to 1 Newspaper II student Michael Courtain.

Rylee Elzer, senior, the daughter of Sheryll and Chris Elzer. She enjoys taking photographs of herself and other people, Rylee likes to listen to all kinds of music but her favorite genre is scream-o such as “Day to Remember” and “The Devil Wears Product.” She Plans on going to Lake Land College for a degree in cosmetology.

Colton Wade, senior, the son of Jennifer and Steve Wade. He plays the guitar, plays video games, and loves riding his 4-wheeler. Colton likes all kind of music but his favorite artist is defiantly Johnny Cash. At this point in time he is undetermined on what college he wants to attend, but plans to be a music producer.

Amber Rodman, senior, the daughter of Steven and Karla Rodman. She loves her friends, especially Hayley Haskett, likes all kinds of music, loves having tons of fun by 4-wheeling during the weekends. Amber is planning to attend Quicny University for Nursing or Sports Medicine.

Zach Karraker, junior, the son of Jan and Steve Karraker. Zach likes hanging out with friends, having fun, and listening to music, such as Metallica, Avenge Seven Fold, A Bullet for my Valentine, and Death Clock. Zach is planning to go into the National Guard to pay for college at Lake Land for 2 years and transferring to SIU-Carbondale for computer engineering.

Dakota Pruemer, junior, the son of Marla and Larry Eversole. Dakota is undetermined on what college he wants to go to but he wants to run a live web show in California. He has already started a compilation of videos on youtube.

Cory Powers, junior, the son of Tim and Carol Powers. With his free time he likes to run, play video games, hang out with friends, and listen to music, especially his favorite artist Kanye West. Cory wants to major in business management, and hopefully run cross country at a college to be determined.

Jessica Reider, senior, the daughter of Judi Reider. Jessica likes to write her own music lyrics, listen to music and hang out with friends. She plans to attend Parkland College, majoring in music.

Ashli Blackwell, senior, the daughter of Jerermy Blackwell. With her free time Ashli likes to play basketball and hang out with her best friend, Miranda Bricker. Ashli plans to attend Lakeland College and transfer to the Police Academy in Chicago to become a police officer. She enjoys the music that Michael Jackson and Chris Brown has put out.

Michael Courtain, senior, son of Gilbert Courtain and Christina Klingler. He likes to play video games, listen to music, and hangout with friends with his free time. Michael plans to attend Lakeland College to gain his certificate in Video Game Development before transferring to Full Sail University in Florida. His favorite band is the Beetles.
