CHBC not only overcame Tuscola, they overcame early foul trouble to beat the Warriors in an NTC v. OVC showdown, 65-59.
"What can I say? I had a lot of people step up," said CHBC coach Carolyn Wendte. "We got into some early foul trouble, so alot of players saw a lot of action. My team was unbelievable from the line, making 26-of-28 free throws. When Tuscola tried to come back with a run, we would put in foul shots."
CHBC (19-4) plays at Brownstown, Monday.

The CHBC JV dropped the prelim without much purpose.
"We didn't really come out to play," Coach Wendte said. "We had a hard time handling the ball and running set plays."
The nearly scoreless second period from Tuscola in the varsity game set them back the way the CHBC JV's nearly scoreless third quarter cost them the game.
