SHELBYVILLE, IL. —
After Beecher City took care of business against Sandoval on Monday, winning 6-3, they went to Windsor on Thursday and were spanked pretty good, 15-2.
The Blue Devils jumped on the Eagles in the 1st inning like they were prairie chickens, scoring ten runs. BC never recovered. The Devils upped the lead to 15-0 over the next two innings. BC didn’t get on the board until the top of the 5th, too little too late, signaling the school bell to ring an early dismissal.
Ryne Floyd got the win, throwing a 2-hitter over four innings, walking no one and striking out two. Brother Kyle Floyd gave his bro a boost with a home run, scoring three times and driving in three runs. Zach Hubbartt went 3-for-3 with three RBIs and Andy Cole 2-for-3 scoring three times. Austin Miley took the loss for BC.
Windsor plays at Neoga on Tuesday.
