SHELBYVILLE, IL. — There will be an assembly at Moulton Middle School on Friday, January 18 to help send the JH Cheerleaders off to the State Competition.
The assembly will begin at approximately 2:35 p.m. in the Moulton Middle School Gymnasium. The JH cheer team, coached by Leslie Miller, will be performing at the Peoria Civic Center on Saturday, January 19.
Shelby Area Athletes Advance to Finals
Athletes from all over the state of Illinois showed up to Eastern Illinois University for the IHSA Class A Boys State Track Meet preliminaries on Thursday. The Shelby Area sent a cadre of 11 different athletes on to Saturday's state finals.
The Shelbyville HS Sectional Semi-final softball game vs Carlyle HS will be played tonight (5/24) at 4:00 PM at Teutopolis. The winner will advance to play Teutopolis in the sectional championship tomorrow (5/25) morning @ 10 AM in Teutopolis.

State Champ Darnell Leads Shelby
Shayla Darnell of Shelbyville won the IESA 7AA Girls State High Jump Championship, clearing 5-0, to lead Shelby Area athletes at the meet last weekend in East Peoria. Adam Miller of Pana and Luke Bowman of Sullivan also won IESA State Championships.
Rams get extra effort

Solid Shelby State Prelims
High schools from over the state of Illinois made their way down for the first day of the girls state track meet at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.
Defending class 1A champion Central A&M sent 12 total athletes to the meet this season, and started this years’ girls track meet off well by winning 6 events individually and 1 team race.
Shelby shines at Area Best
