A six pack of Shelbyville Jr. Ram wrestlers qualified on for State on Saturday.
Th eShelbyville Jr. Ram Wrestling Club took nine wrestlers to the IKWF Central Sectional in Westville on Saturday, March 6. They took Novice Wreslters (11 & 12 year olds): Cody Riley, Daric Austin, Garrett Brachbill, Matthew Tinsman, Adam Hudson, Jared Finley, Lucas Duckett, Keiffer Johnston and Senior Wreslter (13/14): P. J. Riley. (Daric Austin is a 10 year old who was wrestling up to 11/12).
Six of those wrestlers, all Novices, qualified for the IWKF State Tournament that will be held in Rockford on March 11-13. Those six were: Brachbill, Hudson, Finley, Duckett, Johnston, and P.J. Riley.
The Novice Wrestlers (C. Riley, Austin, Brachbill, Tinsman, Hudson, Finley, Duckett, Johnston) took 3rd place as a team behind the Springfield Capital Kids Club & the Central Elite Rebels (Bloomington).
