Okaw Valley marched over the Purple Riders like Sherman’s march to the sea on Tuesday. 79-48.
The Timberwolves’ pack surrounded the Riders and wilded for a 27-12 run in the first 8:00. The Wolves were not sated even with that. In the 2nd period the Pack attack resulted in another 28-14 run to lead by 29 points at the break, 55-26.
The Wolves stemmed their attack in the 3rd and let the Riders count coup and cut the deficit by three points. Okaw still led by 26 points heading into the 4th as the fat lady started to sing, 66-40. The Pack had Arcola for dessert in the 4th with a final 13-8 run to post the 31-point blowout.
Okaw’s leading scorer Alex Corrington finished with 27 points. He scored 11 times, including five times from the arc. The other arc angel was Colton Cloyd, who scored 13 points with a trey hat trick. Walker Herzog, the third T’Wolf in double figures, scored 17 points, scoring eight times from the floor.
