Trinity Posts Undefeated Season

SHELBYVILLE, IL. —

Stewardson Trinity Cardinals wrapped up their regular season play Thursday, March 14, 2013 hosting Mattoon St. John’s. Trinity 7^th grade won 25-6, 25-19. The Cardinals defeated St. John’s 8^th grade 25-5, 25-18. Claire Moomaw led the 7^th grade team with 15 points and 5 aces while Anna Schlechte served 11 straight points in the 8^th grade match. The Cardinals 7^th grade finished their season with a 17-2 record. The 8^th grade team is 18-0 before going into their Regionals on Monday, March 18.

Solid Shelby State Prelims
High schools from over the state of Illinois made their way down for the first day of the girls state track meet at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston.

Defending class 1A champion Central A&M sent 12 total athletes to the meet this season, and started this years’ girls track meet off well by winning 6 events individually and 1 team race.
