Beecher City basketball feasted on Patoka for the first 3 quarters then sat back as Patoka flailed through their dying gasp, 61-31.
BC doubled-up Patoka in the 1st, 14-7, then doubled them up again in the 2nd 18-9, to lead by 16 at the break, 32-16. Out of the locker room, the Eagles soared on a 24-3 run in 8:00. With a 37-point lead to start the 4th, the Eagles nested and allowed Patoka to whoop and holler during a final 12-5 run, that was only sound and fury, signifying nothing. BC still won by 30.
BC had three players in double figures. Donovan Riley scored a game-high 18, scoring seven times from the floor and adding 3-of-3 at the line. Doug Krueger followed with 14 points, scoring five times from the floor and picking off Patoka five times. Matt Kemme was also in double figures and a also had five steals. Kemme scored 11 points, including a 3-pointer.
