Rage Roll Over Rebels

By Josh Matheny

One week after the Prairie State rebels battle the defending champion Sangamon County Seminoles, losing 34-27, the rebels traveled to Decatur to face a Rage team that is ranked among the top of the 8FL and lost, 56-26.

The Rebels never t the ball rolling. After the rage’s Stephen Daniels took the opening kick-off to the house, it was all down hill. All day long, the rebels defense looked flat and the offense could never get the passing game going.

In what was a lone bright spot for the Rebels, the offensive line looked solid and the running game looked as if they could run over anything in the league.

The Rebels will look to get one in the win column this Sunday when they take on the MidWest Crush at Shelbyville’s Forest Park at 2 p.m. This is sure to be a hard-hitting contest since both teams consider this a rivalry game. There is no love lost between these two.

The Rebels are joining with Shelby Bowl and Zidek Chiropractic in asking fans from both teams to bring canned food as admission to the game. All monetary donations will also go the to C.E.F.S. Food Pantry.
