Okaw Valley girls basketball opened the season with a close win at Shelbyville on Monday, but on Thursday Sullivan saw them coming, deafeting the Timberwolves, 60-23.
Sullivan was firing on all cylinders, defense and offense. They limited Okaw, which scored 48 points on Monday, to 25 fewer points. Amanda McClain led Okaw on Monday, but was held to just 1-of-2 at the line on Thursday. They held Okaw to just six field goals. Okaw scored more points from the line than the floor.
Offensively, the Redskins had four players with four field goals each. Neuhauser led with 12, Boyer and Stewart had nine points each and Marshall had eight. Sullivan also made 10-of-14 free throws (71%). Okaw Valley also shot well at the line, 11-of-16 (68%).
