Central A&M Dealt Loss By Cards
Central A&M; fell behind by nine at the half and never could recover on Tuesday against Warrensburg, losing 58-49.
A&M; leading scorer Ryan Workman got his production up again, leading all players at free throw line, making 9-of-10, and scoring a game-high 21 points, In addition to that, the Raiders made 12-of-14 free throws. But, it still wasn't enough to beat the Cards.
Warrensburg had three players, not one, in double figures. Bird had 18, Taylor 17 and Albert with ten. Warrensburg outshot A&M; from the arc 6 to 3. It was a 9-point advantage in a 9-point win.
Warrensburg tok a 6-pointlead early and built it to nine by the break, 31-22. A&M; cut the lead bak to six heading into the fourth, but couldn't get over the hump and the Cards pushed the final deficit back to nine at the buzzer.
A&M; heads to Clinton for the regular season final on Friday, then is cast out to the Cerro Gordo Regional next week. As the #3 seed, A&M; plays #6 seed Decatur Lutheran on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

Ram Golf Struggles, Then Improves
After a decent start to the season in their first two outings, the Rams stumbled at Meadowview Golf Course in Mattoon on Wednesday, losing to Mattoon and Windsor both. Shelby shot 197, while Windsor carded a 187, reversing their loss to Shelby the day before at Pana. Mattoon beat both opponents with a sizzling 165. On Thursday, the Rams improved by 18 strokes (179), but still lost to Arcola-Arthur (167), Meridian (170), and Sullivan (171) in a quad match at Moweaqua where the four teams were separated by just 12 strokes.
